Vietnam Grants Visa-Free Entry to 12 Countries until 2028
The Vietnamese government has announced a significant policy update to strengthen international tourism. Effective August 15, 2025, citizens from twelve European countries will be eligible for visa-free entry to Vietnam.
Under the expanded visa-exemption policy, eligible travelers may enter Vietnam visa-free for up to 45 days, with the following conditions:
- Eligible countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland
- Purpose of travel: Tourism
- Maximum length of stay: Up to 45 days
- Passport eligibility: Applies to all passport types

Vietnam Driving Momentum in Vietnam’s Tourism Development
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam welcomed 12,227,196 international visitors in the first seven months of 2025, marking a 22.5% increase year-on-year compared to the same period in 2024.
